Job summary

Save the Children seeks a Manager, Facilities and Transportation to oversee safety, licensure, and maintenance for Head Start/Early Head Start facilities and vehicles in the United States. You will chair the Head Start Safety Committee, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise a team, and coordinate with site leaders on leases, inspections and transportation operations.

You will manage budgets, engage contractors, maintain vehicle fleets, and promote child-safety practices while delivering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Davis-Bacon documentation requirements.
• Experience in facilities maintenance and transportation management.
• Ability to supervise and lead teams.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification after hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee testing for lead, asbestos, mold, and air quality.
• Develop, implement and evaluate system deliverables for facility and transportation services.
• Maintain fire alarm and security systems in good working order.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections of buildings and playgrounds.
• Ensure building security and maintenance systems and schedules are in place.
• Manage procurement, inventory and budget for facilities and transportation.
