Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Manager of Facilities and Transportation to oversee safe and compliant Head Start facilities and vehicles in the U.S. Programs & Advocacy division.

You will supervise maintenance, inspections, and the transportation program, ensuring licenses, insurance, and permits are up to date while coordinating with site supervisors and outside contractors. The role requires strong supervisory capability, budgeting, and knowledge of OSHA/ADA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, facilities management, or transportation systems.
• Experience supervising teams and managing budgets.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to be on call for emergencies and operate vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing for lead, asbestos, mold, and air quality.
• Oversee facility and transportation services, including maintenance and safety compliance.
• Ensure licenses, permits, and inspections are current and documented.
• Manage leases, contracts, and site moves with budgeting control.
• Supervise teams and coordinate construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
