Save the Children in the United States seeks a Manager, Facilities and Transportation to oversee safe facilities and vehicles supporting Head Start programs. Under the Program Director, ensure licensing, leases, and maintenance while supervising staff and coordinating transportation operations emphasizing safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED plus at least two years of relevant experience.
• Experience in facilities maintenance, transportation services, and supervision.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start standards and related regulations.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate testing for lead, asbestos, mold, and air quality.
• Develop and evaluate systems for facility and transportation services.
• Maintain fire alarm and security systems and regular safety inspections.
• Oversee maintenance, security, and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Manage leases, contracts, and centralized purchasing with fiscal coordination.
• Supervise teams and oversee construction, renovation, and fleet management.
• Maintain vehicle records, licensing, insurance, and driver practices.
• Ensure safety of children and adherence to ADA and OSHA rules.
• Provide training materials and sessions for custodial and maintenance staff.
