Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. is seeking an Education Supervisor to plan, develop and manage education services at the local Head Start/Early Head Start center in Boston.

The role focuses on promoting school readiness and growth across language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional domains, while supervising teaching staff and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and 1+ years of teaching experience for Education Supervisor I.
• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with 1+ years of experience for Education Supervisor II.
• Ability to lead teams, supervise staff and provide professional development.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff supervision and professional development to ensure adherence to Head Start standards.
• Support teaching staff to provide an engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Coordinate lesson planning, development of activities, and curriculum implementation.
• Maintain records, reports and program documentation with accuracy.
