Job summary

United Green Mark is seeking a Center Education Manager to lead Head Start education services, ensuring developmentally appropriate practices and strong parent involvement. The role requires coordinating staff, trainings, screenings, and assessments while aligning with Head Start standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field, with management experience and knowledge of Head Start requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field.
• Emphasis or experience in special education, social work, or psychology.
• Three years of management and/or group process experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage education services per Head Start Act and performance standards in the center.
• Stay current on early childhood education knowledge and assessments.
• Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and technical expertise to teachers and aides.
• Coordinate credentialing with HR to meet Head Start requirements.
• Complete staff development plans and annual evaluations for teaching staff.
• Review weekly lesson plans for developmentally appropriate activities and nutrition, health, safety coverage.
• Ensure screenings are documented and followed up in a timely manner.
• Analyze assessment data and present results at parent meetings.
• Embed IEP/IFSP/RTI and behavior goals into classroom curriculum.
• Maintain accurate child files and attend case reviews as needed.
• Coordinate child transitions with the center team.
• Ensure Health and Safety checklists are completed daily.
• Manage education resource inventories.
• Facilitate communication between teaching and support staff; attend meetings.
• Schedule home visits and parent conferences per Head Start standards.
• Submit monthly education reports.
• Assume Center Support Specialist duties in their absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field

Emphasis or experience in special education, social work, or psychology

Three years of management and/or group process experience
