Job summary

The Tri-County Community Action Agency is seeking an Education Coordinator for Wakefield, RI, to lead the education component of the Head Start/ Early Head Start programs. You will supervise teachers and staff, monitor child outcomes, and ensure curriculum fidelity and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Education with RI teaching certification and have several years of lead-teacher and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with RI Teaching Certificate.
• Experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood environment for at least five years.
• Three years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and professional expertise to the educational component of Head Start.
• Supervise and support classroom staff, monitor child outcomes, and curriculum implementation.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations.
• Coordinate substitute/volunteer program and ensure background checks and health requirements.
• Collaborate with management team in a team-oriented environment.
