Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians seeks an energetic Teacher to lead a Head Start classroom under the Child Care Supervisor. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, monitor child progress, and maintain regular family communication.

You will develop lesson plans for birth to five, align with Head Start standards, and reflect Ojibway culture in the curriculum. Two home visits and two parent conferences annually support family engagement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in Early Childhood program.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 1 year of hire.
• Background check and good moral character required.
• Must learn and incorporate Anishinabe culture into curriculum.

Responsibilities
