Job summary

Umatilla-Morrow Head Start, Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Head Start and Early Childhood Services to provide strategic leadership across education, health, safety, and family engagement.

You will oversee Education/Disabilities, professional development, and health/safety systems, guiding program operations to meet school readiness and family outcomes. The role requires Bachelor's (Master’s preferred) in a related field, 4+ years of leadership, and strong data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of leadership experience in early childhood or related programs.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and program operations.
• Experience supervising staff or managers and supporting professional growth.
• Ability to analyze program data and use results for planning and improvement.
• Bilingual English/Spanish and/or multicultural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for early childhood systems.
• Administer high-quality early childhood programs across Head Start and Early Head Start.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Performance Standards and state regulations.
• Oversee education, health, safety, and family engagement systems.
• Supervise and support Regional Managers and education staff.
