Job summary

RurAL CAP's Marshall Head Start program seeks a dedicated Teacher to support young children in a structured, nurturing classroom. The role emphasizes collaboration with families and compliance with Head Start policies to foster social and emotional development.

The teacher will plan developmentally appropriate lessons, conduct family conferences, and ensure a safe learning environment. Experience in Head Start settings and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start programs and policies.
• Ability to conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits.
• Commitment to active supervision and creating a safe, nurturing environment.
• Ability to develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with Head Start/Early Head Start guidelines and related policies.
• Establishes respectful partnerships with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Conducts parent-teacher conferences and home visits to address family needs.
• Plans curriculum and age-appropriate activities while considering individual development.
• Documents program operations and tracks children's developmental progress.
