Job summary

Tap Into Hope is seeking a dedicated Head Start Teacher to oversee classroom staff and implement developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children. You will support the Lead Teacher and Center Supervisor to foster a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment aligned with Head Start standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with parents, program staff, and community partners to promote children’s holistic development and school readiness.

Qualifications

• AA in early childhood education; willing to complete BA/BS.
• Two years classroom experience with young children and families.
• At least one year supervisory experience.
• Willingness to participate in Whole Family program initiatives and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities to meet children's developmental needs.
• Write and post lesson plans two weeks in advance.
• Incorporate IEP/IFSP goals in plans.
• Schedule field trips and experiences.
• Maintain developmental screening tools and progress notes.
• Conduct two home visits and two parent/teacher conferences per child per year.
• Ensure attendance, meals, and safety procedures daily.
• Follows Head Start standards and licensing regulations.
