Community Action of South Mississippi is seeking a classroom floater who serves as a substitute when regular staff are absent and supports activities that meet early childhood standards. The role helps maintain program ratios, assists teachers, and promotes safe, engaging learning environments for toddlers and preschoolers.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a CDA within 18 months.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Child Development Associate (CDA) within eighteen (18) months of start date.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience with toddlers and preschool-age children preferred.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a classroom substitute to maintain program ratios.
• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing quality activities.
• Supervise and support children to promote safety and engagement.
• Help increase students’ academic achievement, competence and social skills.
• Provide a safe, sanitary, and inviting classroom environment.
