Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. seeks a dedicated classroom helper for our Head Start program in Mississippi. You will assist in planning daily activities, support children in small groups, and help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, a GED/HS diploma, and at least one year of preschool experience. Flexible hours and center placement are offered to support program operations.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma required; post high school coursework in Early Childhood Education/Development desirable.
• Typically one year preschool classroom experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, especially listening and writing.
• Knowledge of behaviors/expectations of 3- and 4-year-olds.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in planning and implementing daily classroom activities and educational programs.
• Provide individualized support to children during small group and one-on-one activities.
• Reinforce classroom rules, routines, and positive behavior expectations.
• Monitor children’s health and well-being and report concerns to staff promptly.
• Maintain accurate children’s records including attendance.
• Participate in Parent Committee meetings and program activities.
