Job summary

NACOG is seeking a classroom aide to support teachers in planning and implementing activities and maintaining a safe environment for preschool children. You will assist with lesson planning, data entry, meal support, health checks, and transitions under direct supervision.

Requirements include Level I with one year of preschool experience or Level II with CDA and one year of experience, plus background checks and required certifications within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with preschool children (Level I).
• Level II CDA or state credential meeting CDA requirements and one year experience.
• Criminal Background Check is required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card, Level I.
• TB Skin Test required.
• Motor Vehicle Report (annually) required.
• Food Handlers license within 6 months.
• CPR/first aid/interrater within 6 months.
• CDA Level II credential required for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document classroom activities.
• Assist with transitions between activities.
• Assist with lesson plans and data entry.
• Assist with meals, cleanup, and toothbrushing.
• Participate in recruitment of eligible children and families.
• Assist with parent teaching and home visits.
• Perform data entry and filing tasks.
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• Perform classroom safety checks.
• Greet incoming families and conduct health checks.
• Other related duties as assigned.
