Job summary

Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support Head Start activities in Rosemount, MN. The role assists the teacher, collaborates with paraprofessionals, and supports families while promoting a safe and engaging classroom environment.

You will handle data entry in GOLD, implement Creative Curriculum activities, and participate in meals and family programs. A CDA or higher credential plus First Aid/CPR is preferred; strong communication with parents and staff is

Qualifications

• Must have a CDA credential or higher, or state credential meeting CDA level.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry experience.
• Current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan with the Teacher and implement daily activities for children.
• Enter data on teaching strategies GOLD software.
• Work with children individually and in groups; assist with meals.
• Follow local, state and Head Start guidelines and policies.
• Support family-style meals and help with classroom operations.
• Attend team meetings and trainings; assist with paperwork.
• Communicate with parents and staff to ensure full services.
• Maintain a safe indoor and outdoor environment; welcome volunteers.
