Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Inc seeks an Assistant Teacher (CDA) to support the lead teacher in delivering early childhood activities. The role focuses on preparing children for school readiness, with emphasis on literacy, science, and social-emotional skills in a caring environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and a commitment to obtain a CDA within 18 months. Prior experience in infant/toddler settings is preferred, and a MN driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Willing to obtain CDA within 18 months of hire.
• One or more years’ experience in an infant/toddler center-based setting preferred.
• Must possess valid MN driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in planning and implementing activities to prepare students for school readiness.
