Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a Head Start Classroom Support to work alongside the Head Start Teacher, sparking curiosity, building independence, and inspiring young learners while engaging parents as advocates.

You will help with kitchen tasks, recordkeeping, health activities, and safety. The role requires 18+, HS Diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid, and Food Safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED and/or relevant experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certification - or ready to get certified.
• Food Safety Certification - or willingness to cert within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Team Up in the Kitchen: Help with food prep and cleanup - keeping things organized and tidy.
• Stay Organized: Keep everything running smoothly with accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping.
• Add a Healthy Twist: Bring energy and creativity to health and nutrition activities that inspire kids to make healthier choices.
• Be the MVP: Step in for the Head Start Teacher when needed - you're the ultimate backup!
• Pitch In: Help out with light janitorial duties when necessary - teamwork makes the dream work.
• Promote the Program: Support recruitment and enrollment efforts to spread the word about Head Start.
• Prioritize Safety: Ensure a safe environment for everyone, every step of the way.
