Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED. CDA preferred within one year if hired.
• Knowledge of child development is preferred.
• Experience with 3–5 year olds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher with daily classroom activities and schedules.
• Assist with follow-through and evaluation of daily lesson plan.
• Ensure classroom has needed materials and supplies for activities.
• Input child behavior notes for individualization and planning.
• Participate in open houses and class events.
• Use PBIS to direct and guide children positively.
• Assist with bus monitor duties if needed.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and orderly classroom environment.
• Provide care at family gatherings as needed.
• Assist in meal prep following CACFP guidelines.
