Job summary

Clackamas County Children’s Commission, INC. is seeking a Classroom Aide to support teachers in delivering high quality early childhood education. You will help implement daily activities, observe and note child behavior, and assist with preparing materials for lessons within the CACFP guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, timely performance, confidentiality, and adherence to program policies. A valid driver’s license and First Aid/CPR certification are expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• U.S. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Current CDA, or ability to complete CDA within one year of hire preferred.
• Knowledge of child development preferred.
• Experience working with children ages three to five preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher in carrying out daily classroom activities and schedules.
• Assist Teacher with follow-through and evaluation of the daily lesson plan.
• Assist in ensuring the class is equipped with all needed materials and supplies.
• Input child behavior observation notes for individualization.
