Job summary

Clackamas County Children's Commission, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide to assist the Teacher and Assistant Teacher in delivering daily classroom activities and ensuring high quality early childhood education standards in our program.

You will support lesson plans, manage supplies, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for three- to five-year-old children, with emphasis on PBIS and positive family interactions.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. High School Diploma or GED.
• Current CDA preferred; complete within 12 months of hire.
• Knowledge of child development desired.
• Experience working with ages three to five preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher with daily classroom activities and schedules.
• Assist with lesson plan follow-through and evaluation.
• Ensure classroom is stocked with necessary materials and supplies.
• Input child behavior observations for individualization.
• Support Open House and center events.
• Apply PBIS approaches to guiding children.
• Assist as bus monitor if needed.
• Maintain neat, safe, clutter-free classroom environment.
• Provide child care at family gatherings when required.
• Prepare meals per CACFP guidelines.
