Job summary

Save the Children Panama Head Start program seeks a Program Aide to support infants, toddlers and preschoolers with educational, relational and social activities. This full-time role reports to the Education & Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may travel to different sites and home visits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certification as applicable by Head Start/childcare regulations.
• Within 90 days, obtain basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply clear practice and procedure in day-to-day execution.
• Organize self and manage time to get things done.
• Keep manager informed of important issues.
• Build relationships with children, families and staff.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Assist classroom staff in all activities and act as substitute when needed.
• Provide custodial and food service support as required.
