Qualifications

• AA in Early Childhood Education or related field with 12 ECE core units and 3 Infant-Toddler units
• Two years related experience required
• Teacher level Child Development Permit or ability to obtain one
• Knowledge of Community Care Licensing Regulations for early childhood settings

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and train staff, parents, and community on child education and development topics
• Assist in monitoring, tracking, and analysis of child development services and outcomes
• Maintain record-keeping and reporting systems for child development services
• Communicate with staff, parents, program managers, consultants and community to enhance services
• Collaborate with state and community partners to enhance services and transitions for children and families
• Order supplies and materials as needed for effective service delivery
• Support licensing and regulatory requirements within the department
• Maintain certifications to monitor and assist in classrooms
• Substitute for teaching staff in classrooms as needed
