Job summary

North Coast is seeking a Disability Services Coordinator for Head Start programs in Ukiah, CA. The role ensures high-quality early education experiences and regulatory compliance, focusing on children with disabilities or developmental differences.

You will train staff, monitor disability services, collaborate with local agencies, and support inclusive practices. The position requires experience with IEPs, data management, and strong communication in a Head Start environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Associate degree in special education, ECE/CDV or related field
CDV106 Children with Expectational Needs or equivalent, or complete within 12 months of hire
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working with children aged 0–5 who have disabilities or guiding ECE staff

Responsibilities

Provide training, technical support, and guidance to teaching staff.
Plan and present workshops/trainings on child development or disability topics.
Meet with classroom teams to review observations and develop teaching strategies.
Monitor that disability services are implemented and records are maintained.
Coordinate with LEA/SELPA and service providers to ensure compliance and collaboration.
