Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Tracy, MN seeks a Head Start Assistant Teacher for a 3-month temporary, 40-hour-per-week role. You’ll work with the Head Start Teacher to spark curiosity, assist with learning, and help families advocate for their children.

You’ll also promote the program and support safe bus transport. The position requires 18+, 1 year with preschoolers, a CDA or Early Childhood Degree, and CPR/First Aid (or readiness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience with children ages 3-5.
• A current CDA credential or Early Childhood Degree is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to get certified.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head Start Teacher to plan engaging classroom days.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date record keeping.
• Implement health and nutrition activities to support learning.
• Step in for the Head Start Teacher when needed as backup.
• Assist with light janitorial duties as needed to support the program.
• Support recruitment and enrollment efforts to spread program awareness.
• Safely drive the Head Start bus and transport children to and from the center.

LOCATION: Tracy,MN

Help create an amazing learning environment for young children! As a Head Start Assistant Teacher, you'll work side by side with our Head Start Teacher to spark curiosity, build independence, and inspire little learners - all while supporting parents to become their child's greatest advocate.
