Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Tracy, MN seeks a Head Start Assistant Teacher to support the Head Start Teacher and help create an engaging learning environment for 3- to 5-year-olds. This temporary position is 36 hours per week for 3–4 months, focusing on collaboration, safety, and parental involvement.

You will assist with health and nutrition activities, maintain records, and cover for the Head Start bus transport when needed. CPR/First Aid is required or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least one year of experience working with children ages 3-5.
• A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Early Childhood Degree.
• CPR and First Aid Certification - or ready to get certified.

Responsibilities

• Team Up for Success: Collaborate with the Head Start Teacher to plan and deliver engaging classroom activities.
• Stay Organized: Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
• Add a Health Twist: Bring health and nutrition activities into the classroom.
