Mane Street Georgetown is seeking a motivated Head Spa Technician & Salon Assistant to join our luxury salon team in Washington, DC. This role focuses on Head Spa services, Davines Naturaltech products, and building a loyal client base while supporting the salon’s day-to-day operations.

You do not need a cosmetology license to apply, but there is opportunity to pursue licensure in the future and expand services as you grow with the salon.

Position Overview

Mane Street Georgetown is seeking a motivated Head Spa Technician & Salon Assistant to join our team.

This is a unique position for someone interested in hair, scalp health, wellness, and the luxury salon industry who wants the opportunity to develop their own clientele while learning and growing within the salon.

An existing clientele is not required, and candidates do not need to be licensed cosmetologists to apply. We are open to someone who is interested in pursuing their cosmetology license in the future and would like to build a longer-term career within the industry.

Head Spa & Naturaltech Expertise

A primary focus of this role will be our Head Spa services and Davines Naturaltech line.

You will receive training on our Head Spa experience, service protocols, products, and the Davines Naturaltech line, with the expectation that you develop into our salon's go-to expert for Naturaltech and scalp-focused services.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing Mane Street's Head Spa services and treatments within the scope permitted for the position
• Learning the Davines Naturaltech product and treatment line in depth
• Understanding different scalp and hair needs and the appropriate Naturaltech products and protocols
• Educating guests on products and appropriate at-home care
• Providing an elevated, relaxing, and consistent luxury Head Spa experience
• Maintaining and preparing the Head Spa and treatment areas
• Building relationships with Head Spa guests and developing a loyal, recurring clientele
• Continuing education as new products, treatments, and protocols are introduced

We want this person to take genuine ownership of this category within the salon and become someone our guests and team trust for their knowledge of scalp care, treatments, and Naturaltech.

In addition to Head Spa services, this position will assist with the everyday functioning of the salon.

Responsibilities may include shampooing guests, assisting stylists, preparing and resetting service areas, laundry, restocking, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and helping the team wherever support is needed.

Compensation

Pay range varies based on experience, licensing, services performed, and responsibilities.

Compensation and opportunities for growth will be discussed based on the candidate's current experience and the scope of services they are legally qualified to provide.
