Qualifications

• Active Maryland State Cosmetology license is required.

Robert Andrew Salon & Spa is growing, and we have a rare, immediate opening for an experienced Hair Stylist.

Three of our longtime stylists recently retired after a combined 90+ years with us. They left behind a massive, fiercely loyal, and unassigned guest base. Whether you want to bring your existing clientele to a premium, stress-free home, or instantly inherit an established book of business, your chair is ready.

(Note: While we are looking for dedicated Hair Stylists, we also have specialized tracks available for dual-talented Hair Stylist / Makeup Artists who want to do both!)

What We Offer (Flexible & Customizable Onboarding)

We believe in treating seasoned professionals like individuals. We design your onboarding package completely around your experience, availability, and existing book:

• Immediate Commission Option: If you come with an active, loyal clientele, you can step straight onto our premium 40% service commission rate on day one. Your rate is formally reevaluated at 90 days to increase to 43% based on performance.
• Custom Transition Protection: If you are building or transitioning your book, we provide a customized, competitive hourly base wage + tips during your first 30 to 60 days. This onboarding rate is fully tailored to your specific schedule, availability, and depth of experience.
• Exceptional Earning Potential: Thanks to our high-ticket luxury menus and a fiercely loyal demographic in the Annapolis/Gambrills area, our stylists see strong gratuity trends on top of their base earnings.
• No Chair Rental Stress: Focus 100% on your craft. We completely cover your backbar, premium color inventory (Wella), regional marketing, utility bills, and full front-desk booking/guest support.
• Ongoing Education: Fully sponsored, advanced training partnerships with Wella Professionals.
• A Premium Workspace: Create your art inside our massive, Tuscan-inspired 33,000-square-foot luxury salon and spa facility.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver premium cutting, styling, and dimensional color services.
• Consult authentically with guests to build deep trust and long-term retention.
• (Optional) Provide expert professional makeup applications for special events, bridal parties, and photography clients if pursuing the dual role.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and team-oriented station environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Active Maryland State Cosmetology license required. Experienced stylists preferred, but talent and drive matter most.
• Technical Skills: Strong foundations in cutting, styling, and color formulation (Wella experience is a huge plus).
• Schedule Flexibility: Stylists with strong availability for peak traffic hours are highly prioritized.
• Mindset: Reliability, high professionalism, and a desire to plant deep roots in a premium salon environment.
