• Serves the menu of the day in the manner prescribed by the Division of Dining Services.
• Orders, receives and stores necessary food and supplies, and maintains related records.
• Complies with the rules of the Division of Dining Services in regards to production and serving.
• Uses and maintains tools and equipment in a proper manner, including but not limited to steamtables, coffee brewing equipment and mixers.
• Trains lower labor grade employees using various training methods.
• Observes safety standards and practices.
• Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification.

Position Summary

Columbia Dining Services is a dynamic, progressive department in an exciting, fun environment with a customer-focused culture. We have an immediate opening for a Head Pantry Worker. Our Pantry Workers work alongside our chefs doing cold prep and interact with our customers preparing customized meals.

This role is responsible for producing the day's menu assigned to the pantry section which may include, but is not limited to salads, raw vegetable preparation, dressings, garnishes, condiments, beverages, and desserts; food production as required on customer service lines, such as hamburgers, eggs, etc.; prepares hot and cold beverages; assists cooks in their work as assigned by the manager, including sandwich, salad and cold plate preparation.

Minimum Qualifications
