Job summary

Columbia University in Kentucky is seeking a food service worker to oversee food production in the absence of higher ranking cooks and managers. The role involves assisting in production, quality control, safety, and sanitation, and help prepare menu items including entrees, vegetables, soups and sauces.

You will operate basic kitchen equipment such as ranges, steamers, meat slicers and deep fat fryers, follow Dining Services rules, keep areas clean, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Varied restaurant and/or food service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans job related or assigned areas, equipment and utensils.
• Observes safety standards and practices.
