Job summary

Montgomery County Board of Education seeks an Assistant Track and Field Coach (Temporary) to support the Track program and supervise staff at the school level. The role requires certification preferences and coaching experience where available, with CDL possession or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities include coordinating the track program, ensuring student-athlete clearances, and attending the AHSAA rules clinic.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified depending on qualifications of the person holding the position
• Previous experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
• Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating and supervising Track program and team
• Assist in organizing and supervising the coaching staff to assure that the program is properly implemented
• Ensures that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director
• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sport
