Job summary

Montgomery County Board of Education seeks a Head Golf Coach (Temporary) to oversee athletic programs and staff. The role involves coordinating coaching efforts, ensuring proper program implementation, and ensuring athletes are cleared by the Athletic Director.

The candidate should be prepared to attend the AHSAA rules clinic and meet program requirements, with background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by law.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position.
• Previous experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required.
• Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Track program and team.
• Organize and supervise the coaching staff to assure that the program is properly implemented.
• Ensure that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director.
• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports.
