Job summary

Cross River is seeking a strategic and technically proficient VP, Enterprise Systems, Workday to lead design, implementation, and optimization of our Workday platform including numerous integrations with Finance and HR systems.

You will align Workday capabilities with Finance’s business goals in a fast-paced, highly regulated financial services environment, guiding a team of professionals and collaborating across Finance, HR, IT, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of Workday experience, incl. 3+ years in lead/architect role within Workday Financials and/or HCM.
• Deep understanding of accounting, procurement, and financial operations processes.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Workday architecture at a large or mid-sized organization.
• Workday certification in Financials and related modules (FDM, Procurement, Projects, Planning).
• Experience in financial services firms (banks, fintechs, or insurance).
• Experience with global financial compliance and multi-entity, multi-currency configurations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Workday SME across Finance and HR modules (Financial Accounting, Banking & Settlement, Projects, Procurement, HCM).
• Define architecture and roadmap for Workday Financials and HR modules.
• Translate financial and business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
• Ensure alignment of Workday architecture with regulatory standards.
• Architect integrations between Workday and external systems (treasury, FP&A, tax engines).
• Establish data governance and quality standards for financial data in Workday.
• Lead architectural design of Workday solutions, including new modules and integrations.
• Oversee end-to-end Workday implementation projects or major updates.
• Define role-based security models in Workday and manage access controls.
• Collaborate with vendors/partners to manage deliverables and upgrades.
• Provide training, mentorship, and support to end users and teams.
