Job summary

Zealand Pharma U.S., Inc. is seeking a senior leader to head US Consumer (Metabolic & Obesity Franchise). This role will shape consumer strategy across an emerging obesity and metabolic health portfolio and coordinate with Genentech/Roche for co-commercialization.

The candidate will drive audience segmentation, demand creation, and activation with a hands-on leadership approach. The position is US-based with regular travel to Denmark and partner hubs, requiring expertise in consumer brand

Qualifications

Senior consumer and DTC leader with track record of building high-performing brands and translating consumer insight into measurable commercial outcomes.
Strong integrity and compliance mindset; thrives in ambiguity and can build new capabilities, playbooks, and operating models.
Experience working in regulated healthcare environments or healthcare-adjacent industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the US consumer vision and strategy across the obesity/metabolic portfolio.
Build the US consumer strategy from the ground up, including audience, positioning, demand-creation architecture, and metrics.
Partner with Medical Affairs to develop pre-launch/market shaping initiatives with consumers and advocacy partners.
Lead integrated consumer and patient activation plans with omnichannel execution across digital, social, CRM, and more.
