Job summary

This role requires 7+ years of relevant experience and a track record of cross-functional leadership in a large insurer. You will drive portfolio optimization and communicate clear strategy across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant work experience with 3+ years leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior leaders and Boards.
• Ability to connect underwriting, pricing, capital, and growth strategies into a portfolio view.
• Experience in portfolio risk strategy and risk appetite frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the Personal Lines risk appetite framework with growth targets and thresholds.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio strategy view across products, segments, geographies, and channels.
• Assess portfolio performance relative to risk appetite and objectives; identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead scenario analysis and stress testing for portfolio impacts under varying conditions.
• Collaborate with Actuarial and Finance to align underwriting strategy with pricing and capital.
• Present executive- and Board-level materials on portfolio health and strategic options.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives requiring a portfolio-level perspective.
• Manage and develop a strategy team.
• Serve as strategic thought partner on long-term market positioning and enterprise risk tradeoffs, including reinsurance strategy.
