Job summary

GNCO, Inc. in Independence, OH is seeking a Manager of Training & Safety to lead the organization's training and safety strategy, oversee technical, operator, and safety programs, and partner with operational leaders to drive a safe, skilled workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Occupational Safety, Adult Learning, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in training, safety, or workforce development.
• Experience leading teams and influencing organizational change.
• Experience managing safety programs, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the strategic direction of all training and safety programs across the organization.
• Develop and implement annual training and safety objectives that align with organizational goals.
• Lead and develop the Training and Safety Team through coaching and performance management.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and support organizational change management related to safety and training.
• Monitor safety and training metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with leadership to support technician recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
