Job summary

City of New York seeks a Chief of Training to lead the Uniformed Services Bureau Training Academy. You will plan, organize, and coordinate training for cadets, new officers, and field inspectors, ensuring high-quality, standards-aligned programs in partnership with the TLC Legal Division and other agencies.

You will manage program development, maintain SOPs, and oversee scheduling and logistics for trainings and ceremonies, while collaborating with NYS agencies and police departments to uphold

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and six years of full-time experience in criminal justice or law enforcement, including at least 18 months in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity.
• Alternatively, a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience with 18 months of administrative/managerial/supervisory experience.
• Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or Education, plus instructor certifications and prior supervisory training experience.
