YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, TX is seeking a Director of Student Support to lead campus-based student services, including deans, counselors, and behavioral supports. You will use data to drive interventions, ensure compliance, and advance MTSS initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with district and campus teams, and a commitment to equity, family engagement, and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• At least two or more years in a mid-level manager position at a campus.
• Experience providing teachers with instructional or student behavior support.
• Experience managing a team or leading adults.
• Ability to work outside of regular hours and on weekends.
• Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools.
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.

Responsibilities

• Use student data to drive decisions, identify trends, and implement targeted interventions.
• Ensure compliance with policies related to student supports, discipline, wellness, and family engagement.
• Lead, manage, and coach campus based student support roles.
• Design and refine systems that promote positive school culture and MTSS structures.
• Lead crisis response efforts with communication and safety protocols.
• Develop and deliver professional development on school culture and restorative practices.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to plan programs aligned to data, priorities, and vision.
• Build and maintain consistent communication with students and families.
• Serve as a connector between the Student Support Team, campus directors, district leadership, and families.
• Partner with campus and district teams to advance strategic priorities.
• Additional duties as assigned.
