Job summary

Lumicity seeks a Head of Strategic Finance to partner with the CEO on equity fundraising, financial strategy, investor relations, and corporate development. This hands-on strategic finance role targets someone with startup fundraising leadership and a track record of institutional equity raises.

You'll own investor materials, build financial models, and guide long-term planning while translating technical progress into a compelling investment narrative for investors and leadership.

Qualifications

• Direct experience raising institutional equity from inside an early-stage, venture-backed startup.
• Track record helping lead multiple substantial equity raises within early-stage, venture-backed companies.
• Hands-on experience across investor targeting, pitch development, modeling, diligence, and fundraising execution.
• Strong strategic finance experience beyond FP&A, accounting, controllership, or reporting.
• Established relationships within the venture and institutional investor ecosystem.
• Strong ability to understand complex technology and translate it into a clear commercial and investment thesis.
• High ownership, strong judgment, and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Leverage existing investor relationships to generate relevant introductions.
• Own pitch materials, financial models, diligence materials, data rooms, and investor updates.
• Translate technical progress, market opportunity, and growth plans into a compelling investment narrative.
• Prepare leadership for investor meetings and manage follow-up through diligence and close.
• Build company-level models covering growth, hiring, cash needs, and financing scenarios.
• Support capital allocation, strategic partnerships, corporate development, and long-term financial planning.

The company is entering its next stage of growth and is seeking a senior finance leader to help shape its capital strategy, fundraising efforts, and long-term financial direction alongside executive leadership.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Head of Strategic Finance to partner closely with the CEO across equity fundraising, financial strategy, investor relations, and corporate development. This is a hands‑on strategic finance role with executive‑level growth potential. The ideal candidate has operated inside an early‑stage, venture‑backed startup and has personally helped execute a meaningful institutional equity raise. We're particularly interested in former founders, founding team members, and early executives with strong startup fundraising and financial strategy experience.
