Key Responsibilities
Financial Modeling & Analysis
  • Build and maintain sophisticated three-statement financial models.

  • Develop operating models, long-range financial plans, and multi-year forecasts.

  • Perform valuation analyses, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and other relevant methodologies.

  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses around financing, operational, and strategic decisions.

  • Analyze the financial implications of strategic initiatives, asset deployment programs, partnerships, government opportunities, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives.

  • Build financial models and analyses from scratch with limited direction.

Capital Markets & Strategic Transactions
  • Support debt and equity capital raising initiatives.

  • Evaluate and analyze various financing alternatives and capital structures.

  • Support potential IPO, SPAC, PIPE, private placement, convertible security, and strategic investment transactions.

  • Develop transaction models and pro forma financial statements.

  • Prepare financial schedules, diligence materials, data rooms, and supporting analyses.

  • Coordinate with investment banks, attorneys, auditors, consultants, and other external advisors.

Investor & Executive Materials
  • Develop investor presentations, management presentations, and board materials.

  • Build PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate complex financial and strategic concepts.

  • Translate financial analysis and regulatory considerations into concise, executive-level materials.

  • Prepare executive summaries and other materials for senior management, investors, and strategic partners.

  • Support due diligence processes and investor communications.

Strategic Finance
  • Evaluate strategic initiatives and potential transactions from a financial perspective.

  • Assess capital allocation and financing strategies.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis across aerospace, defense, satellite communications, telecommunications, and emerging technology markets.

  • Monitor relevant industry, regulatory, and capital markets developments.

  • Partner directly with senior leadership on time-sensitive financial and strategic projects.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 3-7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in:

    • Investment Banking

    • Capital Markets

    • Private Equity

    • Corporate Development

    • Strategic Finance

    • Corporate Finance

  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

  • Experience building financial models and analyses from the ground up.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to understand the business context behind the numbers.

Preferred
  • Investment banking experience within TMT, aerospace & defense, telecommunications, or related sectors.

  • Experience supporting IPOs, SPACs, PIPEs, private placements, or other significant financing transactions.

  • Capital markets or leveraged finance experience.

  • Experience with public-company processes and SEC reporting.

  • Exposure to aerospace, satellite communications, spectrum, telecommunications, defense technology, or related industries.

  • MBA, CFA, or relevant professional certification.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have the technical foundation of a strong investment banker combined with the adaptability and entrepreneurial mindset required in a growth-stage company.

This person should be comfortable building the numbers, understanding the business behind them, and turning the analysis into a compelling presentation or recommendation. They should be able to move seamlessly between detailed financial modeling and high-level discussions with executives, investors, investment banks, and external advisors.

The successful candidate will be highly analytical, self-directed, resourceful, and capable of becoming productive quickly with limited direction. This is a role for someone who can take an ambiguous problem, determine what analysis is needed, build it, and communicate the conclusion clearly.
