Job summary

Optomi in partnership with a premier client seeks an IT Operations & Deployment Leader to oversee technology execution across hundreds of locations and large-scale rollout initiatives. You will drive planning, staging, deployment, and stabilization while coordinating Field Services, Depot Operations, and Store Support through a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership in retail technology or distributed deployments.
• 5+ years leading managers and hybrid delivery teams (15–20+ resources).
• Experience deploying technology across new locations, remodels, relocations, or enterprise rollouts.
• Strong understanding of distributed store tech (POS, networking, end-user devices, peripherals, payments).
• Experience managing MSPs, field service providers, deployment partners, vendors, and depot/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Own technology execution for rollout programs across multiple sites.
• Lead planning, staging, deployment, validation, hypercare, and transition to steady-state support.
• Oversee Field Services, Depot Operations, and Store Support via managers and distributed teams.
• Coordinate internal IT teams, Store Operations, Construction, vendors, MSPs, and deployment partners.
• Establish standardized deployment processes, readiness criteria, escalation procedures, and go/no-go decisions.
• Drive improvements to store-in-a-box and other repeatable deployment methods.
• Lead post-opening stabilization and root-cause analysis to reduce recurring issues.
• Manage vendor performance, SLAs, and corrective actions.
• Oversee deployment staging, kitting, repair, recovery, and asset lifecycle activities.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for leadership visibility into readiness, performance, risks, and costs.
