Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Director of Facilities Management in Chesapeake, VA to lead facilities strategy and service delivery across the store portfolio. This role aligns Store Support Center and field teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient store environments.

You will establish operating standards, preventive maintenance programs, vendor governance, and performance measures, while managing budgets, risk, and continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years senior leadership in facilities or property management.
• Experience leading facilities operations in a large multi-site organization; retail experience preferred.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive facilities strategy and service delivery across store portfolio; align with Store Support Center and field teams.
• Establish preventive and emergency maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and response speed.
• Manage budgets, vendor governance, and performance reporting; ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
