Job summary

Modernizing Medicine is seeking a Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers. Drive reliability, performance, and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure; champion SRE practices and cost-conscious solutions.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps, and collaborate with product teams to deliver robust cloud services. The role emphasizes automation, observability, and secure architectures, with hybrid/virtual work and potential office visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years in SRE/Cloud Eng or similar, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Hands-on AWS experience and observability with DataDog.
• Automation and scripting in Python/Bash; IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible.
• CI/CD expertise with Jenkins; containerization with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cloud Engineering team and set strategic direction.
• Oversee secure, scalable AWS infrastructure and automation.
• Develop observability, monitoring, and cost-management practices.
• Guide CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployment workflows.
• Mentor junior team members and foster continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
