Job summary

PJT Partners in New York seeks a Head of Spend Operations to own the firm’s AP and corporate expense functions end-to-end. You will drive automation, data analytics, and policy governance across Finance, Procurement, and Technology with autonomy.

The role requires 6–10 years in spend/expense operations, strong leadership, and a track record of improving timeliness and controls. Base salary up to $200k with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of accounts payable, spend/expense operations, procure-to-pay, or finance transformation experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in a people-management role across multiple locations.
• Experience modernizing or automating finance operations (AP automation, expense platforms, ERP).
• SOX/compliance background and strong internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounts payable operations ensuring payments are accurate and timely.
• Manage recurring spends and ensure invoices are received timely.
• Maintain vendor master data, including banking details and tax documentation.
• Oversee corporate card and T&E program, including expense reports and reimbursements.
• Design and enforce AP/expense policies and controls.
• Drive modernization and automation of procure-to-pay and T&E stack; build KPI dashboards.
