Job summary

Quanterix seeks an experienced Senior Director, Spatial Biology in Billerica, MA to drive growth of the spatial product portfolio. You will lead high-impact R&D programs, develop strategic plans, and collaborate across Product Management, Manufacturing, QC, and QA to deliver launches on schedule.

You will manage and mentor a team of scientists, guide product development with a milestone-driven plan, and ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biomedical Engineering.
• 10+ years of spatial biology experience.
• 5+ years of experience effectively managing people and leading product development projects.
• Experience with stage-gate product development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a product roadmap based on input from customers and product management.
• Execute research projects to explore new product concepts.
• Develop plans for development and product launches with budget and timelines.
• Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing team of scientists to meet new product launch and quality objectives.
• Manage resources to achieve timely execution of roadmap activities across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Program, Product Management, Manufacturing, QC and QA to ensure assay progress and transfer to manufacturing.
• Drive data quality using appropriate analysis and reporting techniques.
• Oversee assay verification, validation and performance characterization.
• Prepare and review Product Requirements, Test Plans and Reports, Data summaries and Protocols.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on status, risks, and timelines.
• Monitor the competitive and technology landscape to inform roadmaps.
• Engage with key opinion leaders and academic collaborators to validate products.
