Job summary
MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks a technology executive to lead software engineering and advance AI strategy across the product and platform portfolio. You will build high-performing teams and execute on the technology roadmap to deliver reliable, secure healthcare software.
Responsibilities include shaping AI-first innovation, aligning with executive leadership, managing modernization, and ensuring scale across cloud platforms and APIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive technology experience including 8+ years in software engineering leadership and 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- 3-5+ years’ experience with EHR and healthcare software environments
- Demonstrated success leading modernization and software platform transformation initiatives
- Deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture
- Proven experience implementing AI and machine learning capabilities within enterprise products and AI-DLC workflows
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing software engineering organization accountable for product delivery, technology evolution, security, reliability, and operational outcomes
- Improve delivery predictability, developer productivity, software quality, resiliency, scalability, and cost effectiveness while balancing innovation, modernization, and commitments
- Partner with executive leadership, product management, operations, and security to translate business strategy into executable technology priorities and investment decisions
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure strategic progress, software engineering effectiveness, AI adoption, and business impact
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to create competitive advantage through innovation
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology and AI-related opportunities, risks, and industry trends
