Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks a technology executive to lead software engineering and advance the AI strategy across the product and platform portfolio. This role will build high-performing teams, execute the technology strategy, and drive AI-first innovation throughout MEDHOST’s AI-DLC and product portfolio.

The position oversees engineering leadership, AI strategy, platform modernization, and collaboration with executives to align tech with business goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive technology experience including 8+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience.
• 3-5+ years’ experience with EHR and healthcare software environments
• Deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture
• Proven experience implementing AI and machine learning capabilities within enterprise products and AI-DLC workflows
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, and AI governance

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing software engineering organization accountable for product delivery, technology evolution, security, reliability, and operational outcomes
• Improve delivery predictability, developer productivity, software quality, resiliency, scalability, and cost effectiveness while balancing innovation, modernization, and commitments
• Partner with executive leadership, product management, operations, and security to translate business strategy into executable technology priorities
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure strategic progress, software engineering effectiveness, AI adoption, and business impact
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to create competitive advantage through innovation
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology and AI-related opportunities, risks, and industry trends
