Gizmodo seeks Head of Video & Social to lead the strategy, production, and distribution of video and social content across Gizmodo, Kotaku, and io9 in a hybrid role.

You will partner with editors and writers to translate work into platform-native formats, shape creative experiments, and guide a small team and freelancers while growing audience, engagement, and revenue across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and beyond.

Formación

• 7+ years in social media and/or video.
• Proven ability to grow audiences on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Strong news judgment and cultural fluency in tech and pop culture.
• Hands-on video production skills.
• Experience managing a small team or freelancers for at least 2 years.
• Comfortable working with data and analytics.

Responsabilidades

• Set the social and video strategy for Gizmodo, Kotaku, and io9, tailored to each brand.
• Lead a small team of FT and contract contributors.
• Develop original video formats in partnership with editorial staff.
• Own channel strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and more.
• Set and track KPIs for growth, engagement, and monetization; report to leadership.
• Collaborate with revenue to ensure branded content meets editorial standards.
• Manage budget for video/social production including freelancers and gear.
