Job summary

G.W. Van Keppel Company in Oklahoma City is seeking a Service Manager to lead all service department operations, drive customer satisfaction, mentor staff, and ensure safety and efficiency across the shop and field teams.

You will work with branch leadership and customers to meet KPIs, manage department finances, oversee parts and inventory, and sustain a 100% accident-free workplace while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Heavy equipment/service management experience in construction equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a service environment.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing employee performance and departmental operations.
• Knowledge of business operations, financial accountability, and performance metrics.
• Effective communication with employees, customers, and leadership.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage service department employees and evaluations.
• Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication.
• Develop and monitor department KPIs; manage expenses and credit card purchases.
• Oversee accounts receivable and collections; monitor slow-paying accounts.
• Maintain facilities, vehicles, tools, and inventory in a professional manner.
• Lead safety programs, inspections, and monthly safety meetings.
