Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Director of Security Programs to lead and mature security programs across data centers, influencing senior leadership and coordinating with Legal, Compliance and Operations. The role includes managing budgets, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance across frameworks such as SOC, NIST, FedRAMP, ISO, PCI DSS and HIPAA.

Strong travel and hybrid onsite presence are expected. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of security leadership, with 5+ years in enterprise-level

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, business, engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive security leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-level physical security programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the operations and effectiveness of the company’s security program.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior management on security, crisis management, business integrity and other matters.
• Develop and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders at CoreSite and American Tower Corporation.
• Collaborate with internal public affairs teams to engage external entities (government, law enforcement, industry bodies).
• Develop and drive corporate security strategies including executive, personnel, physical security and security technology.
• Direct the analysis, planning, implementation and deployment of physical access control infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain a security qualifications program for the Data Centers Operation team.
• Provide support to and oversight of the Security Program Managers and SMEs.
• Improve and ensure compliance with Security SOP.
• Develop security awareness training programs for employees and contractors.
• Work with Legal, Compliance and Data Center Operations to integrate privacy, compliance, and security activities.
