Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Director of Security Programs to lead and evolve its corporate security initiatives across data centers and operations. The role requires formulating security strategies, managing executive protection, physical security, and technology, with strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive security leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-level physical security programs.
• Experience in data centers, critical infrastructure, telecommunications, technology, or related industries.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar security budgets.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PMP, CISM, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the security program’s operations and effectiveness.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior management on security, crisis management, and business integrity.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Collaborate with public affairs to engage with government, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Develop and drive corporate security strategies including executive, personnel, and physical security.
• Oversee access control infrastructure, hardware, software, and monitoring solutions.
• Develop a security qualifications program for Data Centers Operation team.
• Provide support to Security Program Managers and SMEs.
• Ensure compliance with Security SOP; develop security awareness training.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Data Center Operations on privacy and security.
• Conduct site risk assessments and implement mitigations with partners.
• Own security relationships with Construction, Sales, Client Services, Compliance, Legal, Procurement and others.
• Lead Security Enablement Team to deliver high-quality services to strategic customers.
• Participate in steering meetings and provide security recommendations.
• Manage vendor relationships and lead RFI/RFP and contracts for security tech/services.
• Oversee security incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Attend industry conferences to maintain security competency.
• Oversee Security Program Team annual budget.
