Job summary

The Chicago Cubs are seeking a Senior Manager, Security Operations to oversee security across Sloan Park and the Nike Performance Center in Mesa, AZ. You will lead end-to-end security programs, partner with facilities, legal, and law enforcement, and drive enterprise-wide risk mitigation and incident management.

You will manage contracts, security technology, and KPI reporting, ensuring safety for employees, players, guests, and assets while coordinating with local and federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in corporate/venue security or related leadership roles.
• Minimum 3 years leading supervisors or large contract security teams.
• Experience managing third-party security providers and SLAs.
• Experience developing security KPIs, metrics, and operational reporting.
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute security strategy for Sloan Park and Nike Performance Center.
• Own security risk posture, identify vulnerabilities, implement mitigations.
• Establish annual security goals, standards, and performance expectations.
• Lead partnerships with HR, Facilities, Event Operations, Legal, and external agencies.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency management partners.
• Manage contract security providers and ensure SLAs and staffing levels.
• Own security technology platforms and ongoing improvements.
• Oversee event security for Spring Training and major events.
• Lead emergency preparedness planning, training, and incident investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement and KPI accountability.
